I’m Gavin.

I make campaigns for billion dollar companies…

and video series for Hypebeast.

Catch me in the office or in the photo pit at a show.

I’m a Creative Director of content and advertising leading creative for some of the world’s biggest brands. Outside of the office, you can catch me doing the same for a range of different brands and publications. But I began my career as a content creator in the streetwear industry, running the marketing for local streetwear boutique Wish Atlanta before going on to do contributing work for brands like Hypebeast, Complex and Nike.

My early work experience building blogs, shooting lookbooks, and making music videos was the best portfolio school I could have asked for. It afforded me fluency in scrappiness and culture– two traits that are vital in today’s advertising landscape. It allowed me to create impact for some of the biggest brands in the world– hacking briefs, and creating cultural relevance and community where there was none.

A note on Cultural Relevance

Brands and agencies these days are obsessed with cultural relevance. That’s their goal. And to get there, they hire influencers, spend millions on endorsement contracts, and give money to publishers to borrow audiences. But in my experience, the way to cultural relevance is by building and serving a community. When you serve them authentically and consistently, you create an army of influencers, endorsers, and publishers that care passionately about your brand and because they do, they will make you relevant. Check out this podcast to hear me go into more detail. And here’s a couple examples of my community relevant work:
